Leidt het biermerk Corona onder de crisis?
Uit de laatste cijfers blijkt dat het biermerk Corona helemaal niet onder de Corona crisis leidt. Uit een eerder onderzoek van eind februari verkondigde de nieuwszender CNN dat 38% van de Amerikanen geen Corona bier meer zou kopen. Dat zegt heel wat aangezien Corona bier uit één van de 100 sterkste biermerken van de wereld valt.
Het biermerk lijkt er minder onder te leiden dan verwacht. Uit een recenter onderzoek blijkt dat slechts 4% van de Amerikanen het biermerk niet meer kopen. Een heel verschil met het eerdere onderzoek dus.
De schade valt dus enigszins te overzien, eerder maakte het biermerk zich ernstige zorgen over de epidemie. En gezien het feit er minder Corona bier wordt gedronken in restaurants en bars maakt het ook enigszins merkwaardig.
Verkoop West-Europa
In West-Europa blijkt het biermerk juist te zijn gestegen in populariteit. In de eerste helft van 2020 is de verkoop van het biermerk een dikke 8 procent toegenomen in vergelijking tot 2019. De verkopen van exotische biermerken stijgt al jaren in het in West-Europa en dit lijkt dit jaar niet anders te zijn. Uit onderzoek van een supermarktketen blijkt dat exotische bieren al jaren stijgt in verkoop. Coronabier wist zelfs een deel van het marktaandeel van Radlerbier af te snoepen.
